One observation.

We clearly play better with no spectators.

Fingers crossed London moves into tier 3 for a few weeks 🙏🙏

Branded 12.01, did you notice that I said since the first couple of games. I was not talking about from the get go of this season where our first few performances were not up to our post 19/20 season lockdown games standard.

And yet we nicked points from City and Spurs and lost to Newcastle.

Interesting comments on here where we all watch the same game but seem to see things differently. The performances we’ve had since the first couple of games divide opinion insofar as winning is the result of generally nicking the game and losing is bad luck due to not finishing moves off.

Teams might nick one or two games but doing it more often is not down to luck it’s down to hard work and good defending. We are performing like the Everton of Moyes. That team was noted for generally beating the teams around and below it with the rider that it never garnered many points from the top sixish.

I think that is where we are right now.

We have been up to Yorkshire and won two games that in the recent past we would have settled for as draws. What a difference it makes when a team is motivated, hare working and tactically well set up.

Probably- as things tend to be - somewhat tinted by the second half, fcj. Other than the headed chance at the end ii don't remember them laying a glove on us. And we should have been long since out of sight by then.

I suppose you could include Bamfords shot from outside the box on the turn, but if that counts as a chance then so would the 3 or 4 that benrahma put over the bar/wide

I've got a totally different perspective of the game than many of you on here. Thought it was an open game with both sides having poor finishing. We won because we dominated them in the air, both defensively and when we got set plays. Leeds had a lot of the ball, we broke on them but looked disjointed at times. Delighted at the result and a few of the performances but this wasnt a walk in the park and could have turned out very different. Could have been 3-3 or 4-4. I never thought we controlled the game but deserved the result on balance.

The same Tim Vickery who stated that Balbuena wouldn’t cope with the Premier league 👍👍

It felt like watching a reverse of all the Leeds games or Everton games in the past where we played well but ultimately got bullied and beaten by hight and power. Watching my friend and his sons seeing this was interesting CIA they have seen their team run other teams ragged for two years. They had most of the ball but ended up not doing much with it. Funny to see is as the other team.

I'm slightly more cynical, Simon son. I think its because people think bielsa is a character, and try to sound exotic by saying they've studied his methods because they read an article by Tim VICKERY once.

Think they'll stay up, but they're nowhere near the level Wolves were when they came up a couple of years ago... or plenty of other newly promoted sides have been over the years. Don't recall that level of arse licking before. Its easy to see why it took them so long to come up.

Stewie - it’s because they are something new I guess. I’ve enjoyed watching them have a go at the big teams, tactically they will get found out, like last night, but I hope they stay up, which is probably their only objective anyway.

Norf - Can't agree it was our best display this season, that fella nods home at the end and it ends 2-2.

And if Fornals had not put the ball an inch past the post and Meslier hadn’t saved Balbuenas header it would have been 2-4

We were really good.

The fawning over Leeds is absolutely ridiculous. They're bang average. Fair enough, they're a newly promoted side but the way that people go on about them - including on commentary last night - you'd have thought we were the newly promoted side scrapping for everything against a vastly superior opponent.

There's an awful lot to like about what we have right now. A good, honest group who work hard, play for each other and enjoy each others success. Know he splits opinion, but formals is the epitome of that for me - a proper team man. Not his biggest fan necessarily, but absolutely can't fault him and you can see his teammates appreciate what he does.

Johnson was fine coming on we needed his pace and energy. I would of felt happier if Lanzini had come on instead of Noble, showed when Noble got booked.
Fornals did a lot of work but hardly ever was in the opposition third.
Having Benrahma behind Haller subdues Bowen and Fornals. Benrahma needs to find the target.

Well done Fabianski too. Had to deal with getting booked and two pens early doors, and you could see he was wound up, yet still made some good saves especially the header at the end, even if it was straight at him.

I enjoyed that and was pleased we were at least trying to score without walking the ball in the net. If only we were more clinical.

A great fully deserved win just a pity we didn't score a few more.
Leeds never looked a threat and all credit to us.the championship step up to the premiership is huge,a few clubs start alright but most eventually struggle.
We are looking like a good side for once, just need to put loads more of our chances away.
Loads of credit must go to Moyes and Co.like the way he talks after games, very honest hard not to like.Fingers crossed we keep doing what we're doing.
Declan Rice.what a player fot such a young bloke he has it all.

Re: ⚽ Leeds v West Ham - Official Match Thread
I thought Rice and Soucek dominated Leeds last night. They won everything and protected the back 4 very well. With Bowen and Benrahma as outlets Leeds couldn’t get near us for most of the second half. Good result considering we played with 9 men
